I'm an experienced psychotherapist specializing in self-actualization.

Throughout my years working in social work and psychology, I have worked with many people in a variety of areas.

Over time, I have developed a love and passion for working with women and find joy in helping others further their journeys.

About Me

I earned my undergraduate degree in psychology and sociology at Maryville University in St. Louis, Missouri, and later completed a graduate degree in Social Work at Wurzweiler School of Social Work in New York City. I interned at Washington Square Institute in Greenwich Village, thus whetting my appetite for psychoanalysis. I continued my training in psychoanalytic psychotherapy at New York Counseling and Guidance Center.

Along the way, I found niches within the field of psychology that piqued my interest. I earned a certificate in family therapy from The Ackerman Institute, took seminars in cognitive-behavioral therapy and trained in mindfulness meditation. I have a certificate in Positive Psychology and utilize that often in therapy. I currently help school-age children with the task of muddling through school and I help them thrive in areas including peers, anxiety, social awareness, and other situations that can threaten to derail a child. This work has blossomed into helping other social workers and social work students with their work through supervision, helping emergent social workers further their degrees as well as graduate students work in a therapy setting. Teaching has always come naturally to me and I teach several courses in psychology as a professor at Touro College.

Over the years, and throughout my journey, I have nurtured my true love, my private practice, and have spoken publicly on all sorts of subjects like parenting, meditation, communication and self-actualization. I have also led groups for women who were going through divorce and the maze of angst that that represents.

Working with women and helping them achieve their goals is a special pleasure for me. Like a chrysalis metamorphosing into a butterfly, I love seeing women take flight onto whatever path they choose, I am the witness and it is my privilege.
